Review Fry
Pull your reviews into WordPress and show them anywhere: sliders, grids, masonry, lists, sidebars, badges, a floating badge, a popup button and rotating review pop-ups.
By Web9SEO. Updates come from this repository's version tags.

Google Business Profile setup
- Google Cloud Console → create a project.
- Enable My Business Account Management API, My Business Business Information API and Google My Business API.
- Request Business Profile API access (developers.google.com/my-business/content/prereqs). Quota is 0 until approved.
- OAuth consent screen: External, then Publish (apps in "Testing" lose access after 7 days).
- Credentials → OAuth client ID → Web application, redirect URI
https://your-site/wp-admin/admin-post.php. - Review Fry → Settings: paste client ID + secret, save, Sign in with Google, then Sources → Show my locations → Add.
Showing reviews
- Shortcode:
[review_fry id="123"] - Block: "Review Fry"
- Elementor: "Review Fry" widget
- Site-wide: Settings → Site-wide widget (good for the floating badge and pop-ups)
Managing reviews
Hide or feature single reviews, highlight a phrase (select it, click Highlight), reply to Google reviews, paste full Yelp texts over excerpts, import/export CSV, and get emailed about new (or only negative) reviews.
Developer notes
- Reviews: table
{prefix}reviewfry_reviews, unique by (source, external_id); syncing never touches the local flags (hidden, featured, highlight). - Sources: option
review_fry_sources. Widgets: post typerf_widget, config JSON in_review_fry_config. - Sync: WP-Cron hook
review_fry_sync(twice daily / daily / weekly). - Front end: server-rendered HTML, one CSS file and one dependency-free JS file, loaded only on pages with a widget.
